Indoor Air Quality Inspections

Our qualified staff at Air Filter Sales & Service, Inc. performs Air Quality diagnostic evaluations of building environments. A walk-through audit (phase 1) of the building follows a meeting with key building personnel. This basic analysis provides a comprehensive overview of your air handling system. Quite often these results are sufficient to resolve problems and identify necessary corrective measures. Our full analysis is presented in an easy-to-read comprehensive report that details problems and solutions. All registered health complaints are evaluated in strict confidence.

In the event that a phase I evaluation does not identify the source of an IAQ concern a more detailed Phase II study will be proposed. In a Phase II study we test to determine the source of harmful particles or micro-organisms that may be affecting the air quality in your building. Typical test procedures include airflow measurement of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide levels as well as temperature, humidity, VOC and microbial sampling if warranted. We thoroughly evaluate everything relevant to your IAQ; such as design, performance and hygiene of your entire HVAC system.

Indoor Air Qualtity Division:

Indoor air quality is dependent on many factors. You may think that outdoor air pollution is a major contributor to indoor air quality, but it isn’t. “Indoor levels of many pollutants may be 25 times, and occasionally more than 100 times, higher than outdoor levels. These levels of indoor air pollutants are of particular concern because it is estimated that most people spend as much as 90% of their time indoors. ( Use EPA & Other Links Button for More Information). Building materials, contents, operational byproducts, and air handling systems all impact the quality of the air you breathe.
Air Filter Sales & Service, Inc., through our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) division, provides professional consulting, engineering and evaluation. Our building diagnostics protocols and laboratory support services identify problem areas. Our building HVAC system remediation services identifies ways to control or eliminate them.
